Friday, May 10th

We started the day grocery shopping (the same store we went to last Sunday with Jude and Yoonwha), by ourselves, on the bus!!  Converting Kg and Wons!!!  Here we go......

Samples in the grocery store.

Kimche of all sorts, you pay per Kg.

We don't speak Korean and they don't speak English.  Some things we just had to pass on, not knowing how much it was going to cost.

About $9.80 for this container of bing cherries.  NOPE!, didn't buy them.

Grocery shopping was successful.  Our evening plans were dinner with Yoonwha's family.
A buffet, Jessica's Kitchen.

We took the train to Jessica's dinner, via train, AT RUSH HOUR.  We were warned, hang on.  Although safe, there is a lot of pushing and crowding.

Meeting Yoonwhas' family.  Better pictures and identifications of everyone further down....

(L - R) Yoonwha, Joy (10 years old, Yoonwha's niece) and Stefany

Yoonwha's sister, Nanok (Joy and Sue's mom) in turquoise sweater

Russel and Yoonwha's brother-in-law, Kukyong

Ready to eat at Jessica't Kitchen....

Nanok made us an assortment of homemade rice cakes.  WOW!  SO good!!

Sue and her mom (daughter and mother)

Oh yes, and how could we forget...Yoonwha's father.  An authentic Korean man.

Because we both wore yellow.
A wonderful evening with extended family!!  We hope to see them again before we leave.
